SEATTLE — Firefighters were working to put out a fire at an apartment building between the Central District and Capitol Hill along East Denny Way Friday evening.
Firefighters responded around 3:30 p.m.
Seattle fire officials said the fire was burning in the attic and on the third floor of the apartment building.
An approximately 62-year-old woman was taken to Harborview in critical condition, fire officials said. The fire had been extinguished by 4:10 p.m.

Officials said the fire started in a bedroom of a third floor unit.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
