Suspected ATM theft leaves entrance of Renton Walgreens destroyed

The entrance to a Walgreens in Renton was smashed overnight, according to the Renton Police Department.

The Walgreens is located in the 3000 block of Northeast Sunset Boulevard.

According to Renton police, a call was reported about the incident around 4 a.m.

Detectives believe two suspects in a dark colored truck backed into the front of the Walgreens, causing significant damage to the front doors.

Detectives think the suspects may have been targeting the ATM, but were unable or decided not to remove it from the store.

The entire incident took place in 2 to 3 minutes before the suspects left in the same truck.

Detectives believe nothing else was taken from the store.
