Eatonville man in custody for killing stepdad, hiding body on property

EATONVILLE, Wash. — On Thursday, Pierce County sheriff’s deputies responded to a 911 call near Lake Kapowsin on a report that someone had been killed.

Upon arriving at the property, deputies did not find anyone and the alleged victim’s vehicle was missing.

While searching the large property, looking for a victim and a suspect, deputies found what appeared to be blood in a shop on the property.

Three hours later, a detective found the victim’s vehicle in South Hill, where it was stopped and a suspect was found inside.

After serving a search warrant on the property, detectives found the stepfather’s body outside.

The 43-year-old stepson was booked into the Pierce County Jail on suspicion of second degree murder.
