Dry October weather continues, expect fog early tomorrow morning

SEATTLE, Wash. — The forecast for the next few days looks pretty good. We will continue to see mostly clear skies tonight with a low temperature in the mid 40s around Puget Sound and lower 40s away from the water.

Once again, tomorrow morning a fog will likely develop. As we have seen for the past several mornings, the fog will reduce visibility in several places for a few hours and then burn off by late morning.

After the fog burns off Wednesday, we should expect mostly sunny skies and a high temperature in the mid 60s. The average temperature for this time of year is 59°, and we will be at least 5° warmer than that tomorrow. Certainly not a record setting temperature, but enough to notice.

A weak cold front is on the forecast map for Thursday evening. The front may scare up a few showers in the northwest parts of the state and along the coast. By late day Thursday, it looks to be fading and there will probably be just a few showers around Puget Sound. There should not be a big rain event at all.

Friday will clear out a bit, and our high temperatures will go back into the mid 50s to end the week. Skies should be partly cloudy Friday and no rain is expected.

The weekend forecast still looks a bit questionable. Again today, the computer models are not in good agreement about the chance for rain this weekend.

Based on the lack of consensus between the computer models, I will go with just a chance for scattered showers late Saturday and early Sunday.

The dry October weather will continue for a few more days. Enjoy it!
