EVERETT, Wash. — The Everett Police Department (EPD) released new drone video Monday showing officers chasing down a stolen semi-truck that crashed into multiple cars and injured multiple officers.
This wild pursuit happened on September 10 when officers spotted the stolen truck on I-5 around 6:30 in the morning. The truck then traveled into the Silver Shores Mobile Home Park.
EPD’s drone video shows the moments when the stolen semi truck rammed into multiple cars, including several patrol vehicles trying to stop them.
Spokesperson Natalie Given told KIRO 7 that officers tried several methods to stop the truck.
“We attempted to use multiple pursuit intervention tools like Starchase, a GPS tracker, and spike strips,” Given said. Four officers were injured during the pursuit.
After the truck crashed into a home, EPD’s drone captured the suspect trying to get away, even kicking a person’s fence door multiple times before officers caught him.
Police have identified the driver as a man in his 30’s. He faces assault, eluding police, and vehicle theft charges.
