Driver of stolen car rams King County deputy's cruiser

KING COUNTY, Wash. — A stolen car rammed a King County Sheriff's squad car.

It happened at 9:45 p.m. Sunday in White Center.

Deputies say the owner of the vehicle spotted their stolen car at Southwest 107th Street and 16th Avenue South and called police.

When deputies found the car, the driver rammed a deputy's cruiser and then fled westbound, according to Sgt. Ryan Abbott with the sheriff’s office.

Deputies started to chase the vehicle, which crashed and caught fire at Southwest 106th Street and California Avenue.

The suspect ran away and was not found by a K-9 unit.

No deputies were injured.
