Doug Baldwin talks 'classism' in long series of tweets on election

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin stretches during warmups before a preseason NFL football game against the Minnesota Vikings. Baldwin said "our team will honor the country and flag in a pregame demonstration of unity."

Add Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin to the list of sports figures weighing in on the result of last week’s presidential election.

Baldwin has never shied away from sharing his thoughts on political and social issues at the local or national levels.

In September, the wide receiver called for a review of training policies for law enforcement across the country in the wake of police-involved shootings.

His message followed his call for a "demonstration of unity," where Seahawks stood and linked arms during the national anthem before games.

In the published series of tweets on Monday afternoon, he addressed the current state of the nation, inequality, and his hopes for the future of the country following the election.

Here is the series of tweets below.
