SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — A dog named Otto was rescued Wednesday after falling over a steep cliff in Snohomish County and becoming stranded.
According to a post by the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, Master Patrol Deputy Uhrich drew on his Search and Rescue and SWAT experience, using climbing equipment to descend approximately 10 meters to assess the situation.
The WA State Animal Response Team was called in, and three hours later Otto was back with his family.
The sheriff’s office says Deputy Ulrich stayed with Otto for over two hours and kept him calm while they waited for a special canine harness needed to lift Otto up from below the cliff.
