OSO, Wash. — The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is asking for the public’s help in identifying two men who were allegedly hunting while trespassing on private property.
WDFW said the incident was captured on a trail camera on Sunday, Sept. 20, just before 7 p.m. in Oso.
The video showed two men rushing up to a small, deceased black bear. One was carrying a rifle, and the second picked up the bear and dragged it out of frame.
In the background of the video is a “no trespassing or hunting” sign.
According to WDFW, there were several signs visibly posted in the area.
“Although fall black bear season is open, the alleged subjects poached the black bear on clearly marked private property that they did not have permission to be on nor allows public hunting access,” WDFW wrote on Facebook.

“A monetary reward or bonus points toward special hunts are available for information leading to an arrest,” WDFW wrote.
