The Prairie Mountain Fire just outside of Darrington in Skagit County has burned 75 acres, according to the National Interagency Fire Center.
In a Facebook post Friday morning, the Darrington Fire Department District 24 acknowledged the fire and said that although it is outside of their jurisdiction, they expect stae nd federal fire and air resources to respond.
The department said the town currently has no evacuation orders but requested that locals avoid the area and refrain from flying drones near the fire.
