Cyclist hospitalized after being struck by USPS truck in Monroe

MONROE, Wash. — The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a postal carrier struck a cyclist in Monroe on Tuesday night.

The crash occurred near the intersection of Woods Creek Road and Ingraham Road just after 8 p.m.

The cyclist was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to Snohomish County Fire & Rescue.

The cyclist was transported to a local hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time.

Woods Creek Road is expected to be closed for several hours while authorities respond to the scene.
