Crews battle large fire at wrecking yard in South Hill

Crews put out a large fire at a wrecking yard in Puyallup’s South Hill neighborhood on Monday afternoon.

The fire closed 128th Street at Woodland to 126th Street.

Several cars and buses were burned.

Central Pierce Fire & Rescue crews saved an apartment complex, but their main focus was the water runoff.

Officials said the Department of Ecology was going to the scene.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
