AUBURN, Wash. — Fire crews arrived at an Auburn home Tuesday morning to find it enveloped in flames.
Crews from the Valley Regional Fire Authority arrived at the home on D Street Northwest and Second Street Northwest at around 4 a.m.
Because the house was fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived, they were unable to go inside the home to make sure no one was inside.
However, a sign from the city outside the home said it was vacant and firefighters said the home was boarded up.
Crews fought the fire from outside the home because it was too dangerous to go inside.
Firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to other homes.
Shortly before 6 a.m., video from the scene showed the roof was destroyed but the flames appeared to be out.
