PORT ANGELES, Wash. — The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue (SAR) Team will conduct an “extensive search operation” today along Elwha River Road.
This search is part of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Loren Ciceri, who was last seen in that area on Nov. 18, 2025.
His motorcycle was found a few days later in that area, along with his backpack and helmet.
It’s unclear whether the sheriff’s office has new information in the case.
Saturday’s operation will include a search of the roadway at Elwha River Road from Laird Road west to Sisson Road. This area is north of Elwha and west of Port Angeles.
There will be a significant police presence in that area for residents and drivers. Use caution in the area and be alert for any law enforcement working along the roadway.
There will be an incident command center at Dry Creek Elementary School. The sheriff’s office wants to remind the public that there is not an active incident at the school and that it is just a staging area.
