KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash. — A child was airlifted to the hospital after falling at the Red Mountain Agate beds.
According to Kittitas County firefighters, the child was seriously hurt.
Because of where the fall happened, first responders had to hike to get to the child.
Airlift Northwest was notified and was able to land nearby and the child was then airlifted to a trauma center.
In all, approximately 30 responders from Kittitas County Fire District 7, Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office, Kittitas County Search and Rescue, the USFS, and Upper Kittitas County Medic One arrived to help.
“Strong work by the entire team! Multiple agencies worked together for the best possible outcome,” Upper Kittitas County Firefighters shared online.
No word on how the child is doing.
