A heads-up for people who use Sound Transit to get around: changes are coming to the fall schedule.
Several routes are being discontinued; other bus routes will experience some adjustments to service. Some new routes are also being added.
The changes will go into effect on August 29.
Discontinued routes
515 Lynnwood – Seattle
Alternative routes: 1 Line, 2 Line, N Line, 510
550 Lynnwood – Seattle
Alternative route: 2 Line
554 Bellevue – Issaquah – Seattle
Alternative routes: Line 2, 556
570 (Night Bus) SeaTac – Seattle
Replaced by 597: Lakewood – Seattle (Night Bus)
580 South Hill – Puyallup
No alternative route
586 Tacoma – University District
Alternative routes: 1 Line, S Line
Service Change – ST Express bus routes with major service changes
522 Woodinville – Shoreline
This route will now serve Shoreline South Station instead of Roosevelt Station. Connection with 1 Line / 2 Line. Service increased every 15 minutes.
556 Issaquah – Bellevue
This route will now serve Bellevue Transit Center / Bellevue Downtown Station instead of University District Station.
Connections with 2 Line and added stops in Issaquah. Service increased to every 15 minutes
574 Lakewood – Federal Way
This route will now serve Federal Way instead of Sea-Tac Airport.
Connections with 1 Line and service increased every 15 minutes.
Lakewood Transit Center stops are replaced by Lakewood Station bays 3 (northbound) and 4 (southbound).
Riders currently using this route to / from Sea-Tac Airport late night / early morning should use Route 597.
New routes
547 (Night Bus) Redmond – Seattle
The 597 will serve between Redmond and Downtown Seattle during late night hours.
Service will operate from approximately 12:00 a.m. to 4:50 a.m.
597 (Night Bus) Lakewood – Seattle
The 597 will serve between Lakewood and Downtown Seattle during late night hours.
Service will operate from approximately 12:00 a.m. to 4:50 a.m.
Service Change – ST Express bus routes with service adjustments
512 Everett – Lynnwood
Additional southbound trips in the evenings.
Minor stop changes along 4th Ave in Seattle.
513 Seaway – Lynnwood
Introduce bi-directional service.
Schedule adjustments to improve reliability.
New stops on W Casino Rd in Everett.
At Seaway Transit Center, southbound buses will serve bay 6, northbound buses will serve bay 11.
535 Lynnwood – Bellevue
Service increased to every 30 minutes during the day on the weekends.
New weekend trips added to schedule.
560 Bellevue – West Seattle
Schedule adjustments to improve reliability.
577 Federal Way – Seattle
Schedule adjustments to improve reliability.
Minor stop changes along 2nd Ave in Seattle.
578 Puyallup – Seattle
