Centralia police are investigating the death of a 55-year-old woman as a homicide.
On Aug.5, officers responded to a home on Marion Street for a welfare check. The woman had not shown up for work, and her collegues were concerned.
When officers arrived, they found her dead inside the home from apparent gunshot wounds.
There is no indication that there is a threat to the public in connection to this incident.
Police are investigating her death as a homicide.
The investigation is ongoing.
