SEATTLE — On Monday, Dick’s Drive-In’s Broadway location in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood will close for an upgrade.
According to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page, the location has not been remodeled since it was built in 1954.
While the outside will look the same, the location is getting new plumbing, electrical, built-in coolers and various equipment.
The restaurant is estimated to reopen sometime in the spring of 2022.
Employees at the Broadway location will temporarily transfer to other locations during the remodel but will return to the Broadway store once the remodel is complete.
While that store is closing for a remodel, a new location at the Crossroads shopping center in Bellevue will welcome customers on Thursday, Dec. 16.
That location will be the eighth location in the area and the first on the Eastside.
Both the Bellevue and Sammamish high school bands will be performing at the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday morning.
