• 1 man dead after officer-involved shooting in Federal Way

    FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Federal Way police officers shot and killed a man armed with knives in the 3000 block of S. 288th Street Saturday night.

    The two officers were dispatched to a Camelot Square mobile home park at about 5:40 p.m. for a reported domestic violence situation between two brothers.

    When officers arrived, family members had locked themselves in one of the rooms for fear of their safety. They were later able to safely escape through a window.

    One of the brothers was holding knives and made suicidal comments while moving toward the officers. 

    The officers shot at the 21-year-old Hispanic suspect, killing him.

    The investigation is ongoing.
