KENT, Wash. — Two people were shot in the parking lot of a shopping center in the city of Kent just before 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Kent police responding to reports of gunshots found two victims inside a white Ford Escalade at 12990 Southeast Kent-Kangley Road.
A Federal Way woman who was in the driver's seat died at the scene.
A man from Kent was in the front passenger's seat of the vehicle. He was found conscious, but with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The suspect is still at large, but Kent police do not believe this is a random incident.
