Body found, suspects arrested in Shelton murder

SHELTON, Wash. — Suspects were arrested in Shelton after authorities recovered a body in Mason County Monday.

Shelton police said they received information at noon Monday about a possible homicide and where a body may be located.

Shelton officers and Mason County deputies found the body believed to be a previously reported missing person in a rural area of Mason County.

Investigators said it is believed the victim was killed within Shelton city limits and then moved.

It is believed the suspect and victim knew each other.

Shelton police and deputies arrested the suspects at a Shelton home around 7 p.m.

Investigators have not released the number of suspects involved or any information about the victim.

Authorities said more information will be released as it becomes available.
