Arrest made after body found in Skyway area of King County

KING COUNTY, Wash. — Deputies have made an arrest in the death of a man whose body was found dumped in the Duwamish River in Skyway.

The victim’s body was discovered the night of June 20.

Information led authorities to believe that the man had been killed at the Des Moines Station Apartments in Des Moines.

After getting a search warrant, Des Moines police detectives searched an apartment and found evidence of a homicide, according to police.

Witnesses were contacted, interviewed and a suspect was identified.

On Wednesday at about 12:30 p.m., detectives found the suspect at an apartment complex in Kent.

The suspect was taken into custody with help from the Valley SWAT Team and booked into the King County Jail for investigation of murder.
