‘Band Together Washington’ benefit with Pearl Jam, others will support small music venues

SEATTLE — Iconic Washington musicians such as Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Macklemore and others are holding a livestreamed event Thursday night to support small independent music venues across the state.

Band Together Washington will feature discussions, live performances, memories and legendary concert footage to celebrate live music culture and its future in the state.

The event will be co-hosted by Sir Mix-A-Lot and Rachel Flotard. Headlining the event will be Pearl Jam, who will share iconic concert footage.

The show will be streamed live from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 18. Though it’s free to watch, organizers are asking people to donate. To register to attend, visit http://www.keepmusiclivewa.com/btwa.
