SEATTLE — A judge set bail at $15,000 Thursday for a King County Sheriff's deputy accused of triggering a 14-hour standoff with Seattle Police following a domestic violence incident.
Deputy Berdon Parsons has been on paid administrative leave since March while his fitness for duty is evaluated.
According to probable cause documents, Parsons' boyfriend went to a Seattle Police precinct early Wednesday morning to say Parsons forcefully grabbed both of his biceps during an argument, causing him pain.
Court papers suggest Parsons was upset because his boyfriend fell asleep before they could have sex.
Seattle Police say when officers approached the apartment, Parsons shot pepper spray along the seals of his closed door, forcing the spray into the hallway.

"His level of unpredictability gives us concern he will commit a violent offense," King County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Sam Lee said in court.
The judge found probable cause for five counts of third-degree assault for the use of pepper spray on officers.
Prosecutors say the assault against officers will be considered for felony charges and a fourth-degree assault domestic violence case will go to Seattle Municipal Court.
The King County Sheriff's Office says Parsons has been on paid leave since March so doctors could evaluate his fitness for duty for unspecified reasons.
Parsons joined the department in 2015.
His personnel files include concerns about showing up late for work.
In January, Parsons wrote in an email to his supervisor that he was having "sleep schedule issues."
