SEATTLE — Attorneys who brought a lawsuit over the fatal shooting of Charleena Lyles by Seattle officers have filed court papers alleging that one of the officers "probably" committed perjury when he testified the door to her apartment was closed when she was shot.
Attorneys filed the motion Monday asserting that Officer Jason Anderson's claim about the door colored the Police Department's investigation into the shooting, according to court documents.
The attorneys asked a King County Superior Court judge to find that Officer Jason Anderson had given "material false testimony" and refer the matter to the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office for review.

Lyles was shot by Anderson and Officer Steven McNew June 18, 2017 after she reported a burglary and allegedly attacked them.
A Seattle City Attorney's Office spokesman said the city defendants strongly disagree with the representations and arguments made by the motion.
