WHITE CENTER, Wash. — When King County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested an armed man who was holding a five-year-old child in a closet in White Center last month, their response included a new tool: a drone.
According to the office, deputies used the technology to get a look inside the apartment where the man was holding the child and arrest him safely.
According to the office, the man was arrested on several counts, including assault, kidnapping, violation of a court order, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
The office said on social media, where it posted body camera footage of the operation, that the child’s mother said the man had been threatening her for three days before he was arrested.
The office said both the mother and the child were uninjured.
