4 arrested during protests downtown Seattle

SEATTLE — Four people were arrested while marching downtown Seattle on Saturday afternoon.

While officers were attempting to arrest a person for a reported assault at 5th Avenue and James street, three protesters interfered, according to police.

Police said the three who interfered were then arrested for obstruction and resisting arrest.

A 25-year-old woman, a 33-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man were taken into custody.

Later, officers arrested a 25-year-old man who was carrying a “fixed blade” knife, which police say is illegal in the city of Seattle. He was arrested at 4th Avenue and James Street.

All four of the suspects were booked into the King County Jail.
