AUBURN, Wash. — The southbound lanes of State Route 167 in Auburn are closed following a deadly three-car crash.
One driver was killed, and another is in custody for vehicular homicide due to suspected impairment, according to the Washington State Patrol.
Officials say the collision happened near 15th Street Northwest at around 1:45 a.m. Friday. All southbound lanes are closed, with crews working to safely turn around drivers whose vehicles are stuck behind the closure.
WSP said the closure is expected to be extended into the morning commute. Traffic is being diverted to 15th St NW into Auburn.
