SEATTLE — Three people have been taken into custody for allegedly firing shots at Seattle police officers.
The incident unfolded around 5:40 p.m. at Martin Luther King Jr Way and S Cloverdale St. in the Rainier Beach neighborhood.
SPD said no officers were injured.
According to Seattle police, the suspect vehicle was approached during an undercover operation. When they made the contact, at least one person fired shots from the vehicle.
That vehicle sped off, leading police on a chase. The chase ended when the vehicle crashed, SPD said.
Four people were taken to the hospital, SPD said. Two of those individuals were in the suspect vehicle, and the other two were an officer and someone in the car that was hit. All injuries were related to the crash, SPD said.
It’s unclear what the undercover operation was.
