Des Moines shooting

DES MOINES, Wash. — Two people have been arrested in connection with the deadly shooting of a father and youth football coach in Des Moines last month.

On Sept. 20, 31-year-old Abraham Logan was shot and killed in downtown Des Moines, off Marine View Dr. S.

According to police, an argument broke out between the victim and another individual before the victim was chased into a nearby parking lot and shot. The victim died at the scene, and the gunman ran away.

Friends say the victim was a youth football coach and a father of two young children. He was in the area celebrating his daughter’s birthday over the weekend and had been seen inside local bars earlier in the night.

On Oct. 15, Des Moines PD announced that two people had been arrested and booked in connection with Logan’s murder.

Detectives at Des Moines PD partnered with the U.S. Marshals Service, Washington State Department of Corrections, and Valley SWAT to locate and arrest both individuals

“We recognize the loss Abraham’s family and friends continue to face and hope these arrests provide some measure of comfort as the case moves forward,” Des Moines police wrote on Facebook.
