STANWOOD, Wash. — One person has died in a ‘personal watercraft’ crash on Tuesday morning.

According to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and Marysville Fire were called to a home on Lake Goodwin for a man who had crashed into a private dock around 8 a.m.

The sheriff’s office said the man was riding a “personal watercraft.” KIRO 7 has reached out to clarify if that means a jet ski or another type of watercraft.

The man sustained “critical injuries,” and nearby neighbors who heard the crash were able to pull him out of the water.

Despite best efforts from neighbors and fire crews, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

It’s unclear what led up to the crash.

This is a developing story,
