SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — One person was killed in a collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle on southbound Interstate 5 near 12th Street between Marysville and Everett on Sunday, Washington State Patrol Trooper Rocky Oliphant said.
Oliphant said the driver of the vehicle hit the motorcyclist, ran off the road into a ditch and was ejected. The driver died at the scene.
The motorcyclist suffered injuries, which are believed to be non-life-threatening, and is expected to recover.
It is not yet known what led to the collision.
The two right lanes are blocked, leaving drivers to get by in the left lane.
The investigation is ongoing.
