SKAGIT COUNTY, Wash. — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision on state Route 20 on Sunday in Skagit County, Washington State Patrol troopers said.
The crash happened at about 11:20 a.m.
Law enforcement said a motorcyclist was headed eastbound on the highway and crossed over the centerline, striking a vehicle headed westbound.
The crash caused the motorcycle to come to a stop in an embankment, killing the rider, authorities said.
Troopers said speed was also a factor in the collision.
The investigation remains ongoing.
