1 killed, 2 injured in shooting at Kent gas station

KENT, Wash. — One man was killed and two others were injured in a shooting at a Kent gas station early Sunday, police said.

Police responded around 1:18 a.m. to the 1700 block of W Meeker Street for reports of a fight where shots had been fired.

When they arrived, they found a man in his mid-30s and a man in his early 20s with gunshot wounds.

Both were taken to a local hospital and treated for possible life-threatening injuries.

Officers then learned that the suspect had fled in the victim’s car with a third male victim.

Police found the car and a third male victim in his 20s, who died from gunshot wounds.

A K9 track was initiated in search of the suspect but he was not located. There is limited information about the suspect and his identity.

While there are several witnesses to the fight and the gunshots, the reason for the altercation hasn’t been determined.

Kent police are continuing to investigate.
