KING COUNTY, Wash. — One person was taken to the hospital Sunday night after a driver fired a gunshot at a vehicle, which led the driver to take off and crash into a semitruck near Auburn.
King County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Ryan Abbott said one driver had “brake checked” a vehicle behind him, slowing down rapidly in the 5500 block of South 277th Street. Someone fired the gunshot from the car behind, which led to the first vehicle taking off and then crashing at the off-ramp from State Route 167 to South 277th Street, Abbott said.
Abbott said a person in the vehicle was taken to Valley Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
No one was hit by the bullet.
The shooter, however, fled from the scene.
Deputies did not give a description of the vehicle where the gunfire came from.
Deputies are investigating.
