CLARK COUNTY, Wash. — One person died, and another was injured in a single-vehicle crash Friday night in Clark County.
First responders were called at about 9:08 p.m. to the 26700 block of Northeast Lucia Falls Road in Yacolt for a serious injury collision.
Deputies said a Toyota Tacoma going eastbound went off the road and struck several trees.
The driver, a 48-year-old woman, and the passenger, a 51-year-old man, were extricated from the vehicle, authorities said.
Despite lifesaving measures, the passenger died at the scene.
The driver suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Speed and alcohol were contributing facts in the crash, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation is ongoing.
