Detectives search Beacon Hill for clues in Everett woman's disappearance

SEATTLE — Several officers and volunteers spent Sunday searching the Beacon Hill neighborhood for clues in the disappearance of an Everett woman who vanished in 2009.

Kelsey Emily Collins was last seen on May 9, 2009 just a few days after her 18th birthday.

The day Collins disappeared, she had planned to take a bus to Seattle to meet up with friends at Westlake Center, but no one heard from her since.

Search and rescue teams scoured the wooded areas near Jefferson Park Golf Course after Seattle police received credible information.

Detectives with the Seattle Police Department and King County Search and Rescue are working together to investigate the disappearance of Collins.
