Car crashes into SoDo pot store in apparent burglary attempt

SEATTLE — A car crashed into a pot shop in Seattle’s SoDo neighborhood in an attempted smash-and-grab burglary early Tuesday.

The target was Cannazone Seattle at 1956 First Avenue South, formerly Green Fire Cannabis.

We’re told a worker arrived to find a white Kia that was still smoking after crashing into the front door. Workers had to use a fire extinguisher to knock the smoke down.

Luckily, the would-be thieves weren’t able to get inside the store.

Staff at the Starbucks next door said they saw a group of people fleeing in a red car.

Employees at the pot store said the incident was the first time the building was rammed with a car, though the business has been burglarized in the past.

It’s not known if the Kia that was abandoned at the scene was stolen.
