2 arrested after 5 people tied up in Bellingham home invasion

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Two people were arrested on Monday night in connection with an armed home invasion in Bellingham.

Bellingham police said the break-in by masked intruders occurred at a home in the 2800 block of St. Clair Street. Five people inside the home had their hands and feet bound with tape. Three of the victims were injured.

Officers arrested 20-year-old Brandon Keck and 35-year-old Ananda Eichhorn outside of the home with bags of stolen stuff, police said.

One victim who called 911 told KIRO 7 he heard the pair break in and ransack the house. He said they bound his roommates' hands and feet with tape and beat three of them with a rifle. He said the attacks helped police catch the suspects in the act.

"It gave them a lot of time so the cops had enough time to show up and do the deed," said the man, who asked to not be identified.

Asked if he knew who the men were, he said, "No, no idea."

Police said they found a stolen truck near the house and are looking into whether it's connected to the suspects.

The accused intruders appeared in court Tuesday afternoon on charges of robbery, kidnapping and eluding police.
