Police search for gunman after teen shot at Renton Target

RENTON, Wash. — Renton police are searching for the gunman who opened fire inside the Target store at The Landing in Renton on Monday night.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at about 8 p.m.

According to investigators, a 15-year-old was shot three times inside the store as panicked shoppers hid. Witnesses saw the entire shooting and say the gunman tossed the gun as he ran away.

Investigators said the teen was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. As of Tuesday, the teen was in satisfactory condition.

KIRO 7 obtained the surveillance video that police say shows the gunman leaving the store in a red hooded sweatshirt and red sweatpants. He is seen rushing out the front door with other scared customers

Investigators said the shooting happened after an argument and does not appear to be random.
