7 things to do this weekend: May 10 - 12

1) Supporting newborns: March for Babies, Tacoma – Saturday. Registration starts at 8 a.m.,  and the walk is at 9 a.m. Come show your support with March of Dimes and families who have newborns in the NICU. 2) Fun run: Virginia Mason Mother's Day Half & 5K, Kirkland – Sunday. Lace up your running shoes for a run in the sun, as this scenic race route takes you along the city's waterfront. Registration is available online, but entry availability is going fast. Follow this link for details.

3) Wildlife celebration: Backyard Wildlife Festival – Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy this family-inclusive celebration and learn about the native wildlife of Washington state. Kids can engage in hands-on art projects and chalk-a-palooza. Stop by local arts and crafts vendors' tables. 5) Brunch-day: Mother's Day Brunch! By Della Terra, Snohomish – Saturday and Sunday. Indulge in delicious farm-to-table brunch service at Della Terra in historic downtown Snohomish. 6) Arts & crafts fair: Edmonds Spring Fest – Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Check out local arts and crafts vendors and bath and body, jewelry and clothing makers. The event will have high-quality handmade goods and is a popular place to visit for Mother's Day weekend. Follow this link for details.

7) Celebration time: Sequim Irrigation Festival – Running until May 19. The 124th annual festival is the oldest continuing festival in Washington State and roughly runs two weeks.
