Justin Farmer, WSB-TV
On November 25th, 2024, Channel 2 Anchor Justin Farmer announced his decision to make a career change after 17-years at WSB-TV. Farmer, an Emmy-winning journalist and Edward R. Murrow recipient, anchored Channel 2 Action News at 4 and 6 p.m. He was born and raised in Atlanta and has covered some of the most significant local and national news stories during his broadcast career. Farmer has also made a meaningful impact in our community supporting several local charities and community partners. While Farmer takes a new direction, he will still serve viewers on Channel 2 Action News as a special contributor on economic, financial, and political stories that impact Georgians and the community.
Farmer attended Darlington School in Rome, Georgia and earned a degree in political science from Boston College. In addition to anchoring WSB-TV’s weeknight broadcasts, Justin moderated political debates and worked on special assignments such as a trip to the White House for a one-on-one sit down interview with President Barack Obama. He also traveled overseas with three different Georgia Governors covering stories from Cuba, Panama and the U.S.-Mexico border.
Prior to WSB-TV, Farmer’s career had taken him from markets that have included Salt Lake City, Oklahoma City, Denver and Dallas.
