The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback only had a two-second appearance in a Fox Sports commercial touting next month’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar, but that was enough to steal the show, Entertainment Tonight reported.

The World Cup begins Nov. 20 and runs through Dec. 18. Fox Sports unveiled a star-studded commercial on Friday that features soccer great Cristiano Ronaldo and singer Mariah Carey. John Hamm plays Santa Claus and Ellie Kemper is Mrs. Claus.

While watching the commercial, Santa realizes that the tournament’s finale occurs a week before Christmas.

“What are we standing around for?” Jolly Old St. Nick tells Mrs. Claus. “We got work to do.”

After a clip showing the 37-year-old Ronaldo scoring a goal for team Portugal, the camera shifts to Brady munching a green snack and deadpanning, “He’s getting kind of old, isn’t he?”

Brady’s sly reference is about the 45-year-old quarterback playing in his 23rd season in the NFL. He made a similar joke in a Hertz commercial, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Carey had the other signature moment in the commercial in a brief cameo.

Santa wonders if he will need a song to celebrate the World Cup. The camera pans to Carey, who is being made up for an apparent appearance.

“Um, do you have any idea how busy I am this time of year?” Carey asks, a reference to her “All I Want For Christmas Is You” track that is a popular request during the holiday season, E! Online reported.

For those too young to know about Coolidge, the 28th president was known as “Silent Cal” during the 1920s. Once told by a woman that she bet someone she could get the president to say more than three words, Coolidge looked at her and said, “You lose.”
