The network reportedly is in the early development stages for its first sequel to its fantasy drama, with a live-action spinoff series centered on the Snow character, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

If the sequel moves forward, Harington is likely to reprise the role, the entertainment news website reported. He is a two-time Emmy Award nominee for his portrayal of Snow. The series would take place after the events of “Game of Thrones,” which ended its eight-season run in 2019, Entertainment Weekly reported.

HBO declined to comment, and a representative for Harington did not immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly’s request for comment.

In the final season of “Game of Thrones,” Snow discovered his true name was Aegon Targaryen, a potential heir to the Iron Throne, according to The Hollywood Reporter. In the series finale, he was exiled from Westeros and journeyed North of the Wall with the Wildlings.

Since “Game of Thrones,” Harington has co-starred in 2021′s “Eternals,” the entertainment site reported. He also recently played the title role in the National Theater’s live production of “Henry V.”
