DES MOINES, Wash. — Des Moines police and South King Fire & Rescue responded after a water main broke in Des Moines early Tuesday.
It happened in the 21300 block of Third Avenue South around 2 a.m.
Several homes were affected and some yards are flooded.
The water caused a slide that blocked part of First Avenue South near South 216th Street.
The water main has since been shut off and the road is cleared.
