The Washington State Patrol District headquarters near Tacoma were evacuated due to a suspicious package.
No explosives were found and people returned to their offices around 10 a.m.
People were asked to avoid the area near 2502 112th Street East after the evacuation. The dispatch center was moved to a safe location so officers could answer 911 calls.
Trooper T. Bartolac tweeted about the package just before 9:30 a.m.
