Seattle chef Edouardo Jordan wins two James Beard Awards

The James Beard Awards were announced Monday night in Chicago and among the 2018 winners was Seattle chef Edouardo Jordan who took home two big awards.

Jordan won the award for "Best Chef: Northwest" for his work at Salare and the award "Best New Restaurant" for JuneBaby -- both located in the Ravenna neighborhood.

The James Beard Foundation tweeted a video of Jordan accepting the award with his team.

He thanked his staff, family and included a message for his 4-year-old son.

"This award is for you and I want you to dream big my little star. we're making history tonight and daddy wants you to know that if you dream it, you can achieve it," Jordan said.
