The Ride2 app --- Metro’s on-demand app for van shuttle service created in anticipation of the Alaskan Way Viaduct’s closure – didn’t function as expected Monday morning.
The app, available here for smartphones, started Monday but requests "aren't booking smoothly at this time, and we're working with our vendor to correct," Metro tweeted at 5:44 a.m.
Riders were told to call 855-233-1880, a number that continued to work after the app was fixed.
Metro staff tweeted at 6:20 a.m. that the Ride2 app was fixed after working with the vendor.
Rides through the app can be booked from either the West Seattle Junction or Water Taxi dock.
King County Metro will also add a second water taxi boat starting Jan. 14. Follow this link to read additional details about the Ride2 app, and use this link for details on the viaduct closure in January 2019.
