A brazen robbery at a popular bike shop in Seattle's Green Lake neighborhood has one business on edge and asking whether more police presence is needed in the area.
Gregg’s Cycle General Manager Marty Pluth said two men broke their display windows and took off with a bike and a pair of sunglasses on Nov. 15.
The damage is estimate at more than $15,000.

It happened at around 5 a.m.
Joggers passing by saw what happened and called 911.
By the time officers got there, the suspects were gone.
“If police could have responded more quickly to the break-in, I think they would have caught these people,” said Pluth.
Pluth said officers got to the store in about eight minutes

They said their records showed police arrived in five minutes and the investigation is still ongoing.
No suspects.
We talked to people who live in the area, they said they have seen more crimes people post about on their community online websites.
“I think they are desperate,” said Gene Frogge, who lives near Green Lake. “It’s either drugs or pure desperation.”
Pluth said with criminals getting bolder, he will add more security features, possibly more cameras to protect both his merchandise and staff.
“The best you can do is make sure your building is as secure as possible,” said Pluth.
