SEATTLE — After a tough loss to the Washington Commanders, the Seahawks are already moving on.

The team announced on Tuesday that they have made an addition to their roster and signed Gary Smith III to their practice squad.

Smith, a defensive tackle, went undrafted at the 2026 NFL Draft. After the draft, he was picked up by the Las Vegas Raiders, and despite recording a sack against the Cardinals in the preseason, Smith was waived before week one.

To make room for Smith, the Seahawks released nose tackle Uso Seumalo again.

Seumalo, who was highlighted throughout HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” was initially dropped by the Seahawks just days after the show’s finale.

Seumalo later re-signed with the Seahawks on Sept. 23, when offensive guard Anthony Bradford went on the injured reserve list.

Just six days later, Seumalo is off the team again.

The Seahawks look to shake off the loss this weekend as they face the San Diego Chargers on Sunday, Oct. 4. Kickoff is set for 1:25 p.m. at Lumen Field.
